Appointed by Esh Construction, Sigmat completed the structural steel frame for the 28 stylish contemporary apartments at the Ouseburn. Located in the vibrant
Ouseburn valley, just 5 minutes from the heart of Newcastle, the Steenbergs Yard development offers two and three bed luxury apartments.
Transforming the Ouseburn, the five-story development is now open for residents to move into in Summer 2021. With the ground floor consisting of four commercial units, the scheme adds to the appeal of the Ouseburn Valley, with
the toffee factory just a few minutes walk away.
Sigmat team installed 1,310 linear metres of light gauge steel panels, 42 sets of Sigmat steel staircases and 930m2 hot rolled transfer structure.
Paul Smith, Construction Director at Sigmat, commented on the success of the project with Esh Construction: “The development at Lower Steenberg’s Yard required intricate design and detail, installed in a logistically challenging setting.
