It’s been a 12 month journey for the Sigmat team who have been working at the University of Hull on the largest Light Gauge Steel Frame (LGSF) contract ever awarded to one company. The project at University of Hull was awarded to Sigmat by Vinci construction and included 11 student accommodation blocks, which will be home to over 1400 students come September.
The statistics are impressive, with 65,752m2 of panelling installed, 35,264m2 of decking and 25t of roof purlins installed, it’s been a huge accomplishment by all at Sigmat.
Elwyn Williams, Senior Site Manager at Sigmat commented “We’ve just finished installing 11 blocks, which will house over 1400 students come September. It’s been a huge achievement by the Sigmat team and I’m proud to have been involved”.
