Premier Inn, Slough: Case Study Summary
Client | Location | Sector | Main Contractor |
---|---|---|---|
Bowmer and Kirkland | Slough | Hotel | Bowmer and Kirkland |
Sigmat were appointed by Bowmer & Kirkland to deliver the light gauge steel framing for the new Premier Inn in Slough. The scheme comprised of 5,690m2 of Sigmat panels, 4.9 tonnes of hot rolled steel members, 18 flights of stairs and 9 half landings.
Sigmat also facilitated the craning in of 150 plasterboard packs and 127 bathroom pods, to allow follow on trades to commence at an earlier stage ensuring programme timelines were met.
The project is the sixth successful Premier Inn for Sigmat.
The project was another success for Sigmat, demonstrating once again the advantages of engaging MMC and offsite methods for tight city centre spots. With programme surety and speed of erection achieved due to our design & site teams collaborating closely with the client throughout. I look forward to working on another Premier Inn scheme in the future.
