Combining MMC with careful restoration of iconic hotel
Cameron House, the iconic, luxury, five-star complex located on the edge of Loch Lomand is being carefully restored following a devastating fire in December 2017. With plans set to reopen the hotel by 2021 plus a new extension on the original building.
Utilising MMC for the extension, it will comprise of bedrooms on the upper three floors, with a conference centre and ballroom on the groundfloor. Work on the extension is due to be completed by Summer 2021, with Sigmat team due on site for 8 weeks to erect the light gauge steel frame.
The extension, consisting of 3 floors and 1445 linear metres of wall panels, will form the new 68 bedrooms – bringing the total for the hotel to 208 bedrooms. Working for ISG Construction, Sigmat have been selected as the LGSF provider after a careful selection process demonstrated the programme surety of embracing LGSF methods.
