It’s been an award winning few weeks for Sigmat!
We took first place in the Best Use of Steel Technology category at the Offsite Awards in London for our work on Godiva Place, the 770 student accommodation scheme at Coventry University. The Offsite Awards were showcasing innovation and those pioneering companies and individuals ‘taking the industry to new heights’.
Around 400 construction professionals gathered at The Arena, Excel in London for the swish ceremony, attended by Sigmat’s Operations Manager, John Ritchie, David Ellison, Head of Business (left and right in the photo), along with Construction Director Paul Smith and Marcus Wood, Chief Operating Officer (2nd from right).
Meanwhile, Sigmat has, for the second year running, earned a place in the Ward Hadaway Fastest 50 List. The list, jointly sponsored by the commercial law firm and Yorkshire Post, celebrates the achievements of profitable, privately-owned companies in the wider Yorkshire region which have grown their turnover by the largest amount in recent years.
John Murray, executive partner for Ward Hadaway’s Leeds office, said: “The list demonstrates the sheer variety of companies who are succeeding in growing their businesses, creating jobs and prosperity and attracting investment into the region.
“It is these companies which are the growth drivers of the Yorkshire economy and they deserve the accolades and the attention which being in the Ward Hadaway Yorkshire Fastest 50 brings them.”
Finally, Sigmat has been shortlisted in the Green Project Management Category of the 2019 West Midlands Celebrating Construction Awards, again for Godiva Place, Coventry.
Marcus Wood, said: “We have a magnificent team, some great clients and a marvellous supply chain. Working together they have produced some amazing results and these awards and accolades are absolute testimony to the entire team. This is not about one person but a true, collective effort. I am very proud of everyone.”
