Sigmat To Deliver New Hampton by Hilton Hotel As Part of Major Rochdale Regeneration
We are delighted to announce our involvement in the delivery of a new 146-bedroom Hampton By Hilton hotel as part of Phase 2 of the Rochdale town centre regeneration project.
The £70m mixed use scheme which also features 242 apartments and a 44,000 sq foot office development, is to be constructed off John Street next to the first phase of the wider £400m town centre revamp, in collaboration with main contractor Willmott Dixon, Rochdale Development Agency and Rochdale Council.
Providing 146 bedrooms, the seven storey Hampton by Hilton is to be constructed at the corner of Penn Street and New Baillie Street. The ground floor of the 55,000 sq ft building will also feature a lobby, reception, bar and restaurant.
Hotel and leisure developments have always been a core sector for us here at Sigmat. Working on another development for a major brand like Hilton is extremely exciting and we look forward to progressing the scheme alongside out colleagues at Willmott Dixon.
The project will be another Hampton by Hilton by the Sigmat team and will comprise of 1,943 metres of internal and external LGSF panels, 26 sets of stairs, 13no 1/2 landings, and lift shafts all delivered within a 23-week programme. Works started at the beginning of February.
The scheme, which will ultimately deliver high-quality hospitality, living and working space is helping transform this former brownfield site into a thriving and eclectic community.
