Design meets Sustainability | Sigmat secure new low-carbon energy homes scheme in Leeds

Sigmat are delighted to have been selected by Artisan for their new sustainable living scheme in Leeds. Sigmat have been appointed to provide Block D, a four/five story LGSF frame at Kirkstall Place. The development is located between Kirkstall and Headingley and marked as 'the new urban place to live'. With cycle routes into the city, a train station close by, Kirkstall Place shines a spotlight on sustainable living.

Sigmat were selected following two successful projects for Artisan at Rowanbank Gardens and Cannonmill Gardens. The Sigmat team will provide the LGSF frame, built off a concrete RC podium with two feature link bridges connecting the blocks. Commencing with in-house design and detailing, through to manufacture at our Leeds Manufacturing facility, and installation onsite. The Sigmat team are due to commence on site August 2023.

The total scheme will provide 263 low carbon energy homes, featuring the latest technology to promote sustainability, increase wellbeing and reduce cost of living for future homeowners.

Sustainable living and sustainable construction practise is a key focus for us at Sigmat and is fast becoming a recognised advantage of constructing in LGSF. We are pleased to see more local developments being constructed this way - helping to reduce the impact of the site and ultimately demonstrating the green credentials of LGSF.
Anthony Longbottom, Head of Pre-Contracts at Sigmat
