May 2020 - Ikea signs 5 year deal with Top Hat to build modular homes

IKEA's affordable housing collaboration has found a manufacturer to bring the concept to life in the UK.

Following a previous announcement on plans to expand into the UK, Bokblok, a modular housing concept co-owned by Skanska and IKEA, has now found a UK-based manufacturer to work with to see this vision brought to life. TopHat have been selected for an initial 5-year contract for this brand of affordable home. The UK manufacturer specialise in modular housing for developers already. Speeding up the self-build process and providing a fast, cost-effective solution for tackling the housing crisis.
